Day 2 of our 21 Days of Gratitude is to appreciate those who have influenced us. You would not be who you are today because of whom? Could this person have been a high school teacher, a college professor, a mentor and/or coach? Who in your life has had a significant contribution or impact to the person you are today? THAT person is who we want to focus our attention on.
Gratitude Action Items:
1. Make a list of the top 5 most influential people in your life. Note: This is someone who knows you, this is NOT an unapproachable celebrity! We’re keeping it real and simple. 🙂
2. Next, for each person identified capture what you appreciate about this individual.
3. Don’t wait but send a brief text message to this person. It can be a short blurb or a novel. There is no right or wrong answer regarding the amount of content shared. The import thing is to make your gratitude actionable!!
As some of you will attempt to come up with a list of influencers, there maybe some people who you want to appreciate, yet are no longer here to be a recipient of your admiration. If this is the case, still keep his/her name on your list and continue to honor their memory.
