Day 14 of our 21 Days of Gratitude will have us grateful for the air that you are breathing. In wake of what has recently transpired in France, this challenge has had more meaning than originally planned.
Out of the valley experience that we go through, growth can spring forth. Our support, prayers, and deepest condolences are extended towards those who have encountered unexpected loss.
On day 14, I hope the realization sets in that gratitude should not be a challenge. It should be part of our nature, character and should just flow effortlessly out of each and everyone of us. Someone on Facebook inquired of me why I had chosen 21 days vs. 30 days. I felt impressed to pursue 21 days as it has been scientifically associated with developing a new habit. In the era of ‘selfies’, society is now subtly being conditioned to systematically breed entitlement and thankless behavior. Thus the need to reintroduce an old habit of having gratitude to come easy, and effortlessly through you. When opportunities unveil themselves to demonstrate gratefulness, jump to it and do what you can to be thankful in all that you have.
