Day 12 of our 21 Days of Gratitude has our gratefulness towards being rejected. Odd item to be thankful for? Rejection can cause debilitating pain, having its victims crawl away while feeling depressed, discouraged and defeated. It leaves a dark, opaque cloud of hopelessness that confuses its wounded. However, unbeknownst to the offended Rejection is cloaked and Time unveils that the sting of Rejection was a temporary state. Rejection has an assignment that is not scoped for permanence. Yet, if some of us understood that the seeds of offense would not be rooted and embedded within, we would have definitely behaved differently. Sometimes the one person that rejected us, actually ended up saving us. From whom? Glad you asked- you end up being saved and released from false expectations, you ended up being delivered from the self-esteem goblin, whose aim and purpose is for you to be distracted from your God given purpose, destiny and beauty. Its okay everyone has succumbed to the lies of rejection, however I’m here to tell you that the reject projectiles and threats are a blaring alarm to love yourself like no one else can!!! We give you full permission to let go and rock the best YOU ever!!! Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday, Happy Valentine’s Day …and all other holidays which we celebrate anticipating a surprise. Well, today you are your best gift, so embrace yourself goodness and let your light shine!!
Gratitude Action Items:
1.If you have ever encountered Rejection, dig deep and speak the opposite of what Rejection caused you to feel. If you felt hopeless- look in the mirror (literally) and tell yourself that there is ‘Hope’ for me…I am ‘encouraged’ (visit Day 7), I am an ‘overcomer’….’I will be successful’. Rejection is a pause button in your life so can dig a little deeper to find that blazing star within.
2.Some of you may not have encountered Rejection. However, you may have seen its forces unleashed on those you love. Send a word of encouragement and love today to break those chains
